Who We Are

Root Inc was born out of a deep, unwavering passion for Pakistan. We are a team with over 20 years of collective experience in high-tech industries — having built, scaled, and led technology companies — who made a deliberate choice to redirect that expertise toward something closer to our hearts: the land, the people, and the future of Pakistan.

We saw a country with some of the most fertile soil in the world, yet riddled with inefficiencies, land disputes, and a farming community that has been underserved for generations. We saw smallholder farmers struggling to get fair prices for their produce. We saw landowners unable to verify or manage what is rightfully theirs. And we decided that if we had the tools, the talent, and the technology — we had a responsibility to act.

What We Believe

Pakistan's agricultural and land sectors are not broken beyond repair — they are simply waiting for the right solutions. Land ownership disputes, lack of transparent record-keeping, and disconnected supply chains are challenges that technology has already solved in other parts of the world. We believe Pakistan deserves the same, and we are here to make it happen.

We believe in transparency — that every landowner should be able to know, verify, and protect what belongs to them. We believe in fairness — that every farmer should be able to sell their produce directly to the market without being squeezed by layers of middlemen. And we believe in progress — that a green revolution in Pakistan is not just possible, it is inevitable.

What We Do

Root is a platform built around Pakistan's two most pressing needs: resolving land issues and transforming the farming ecosystem. On the land side, we work to bring awareness, clarity, and digital tools to a space that has historically been opaque and exploitative. We help individuals understand their land rights, track records, and navigate the complexities of the Pakistani land system with confidence.

On the green side, we are actively driving initiatives that modernize how Pakistan grows, manages, and sells food. Our Farm to Market initiative connects farmers directly with buyers, eliminating unnecessary intermediaries and ensuring farmers receive fair compensation for their hard work. Our Farm Management tools give growers — large and small — the ability to plan, monitor, and optimize their operations using technology that was previously only available to large-scale agribusinesses.

These are not just products. They are part of a larger green movement we are committed to nurturing across Pakistan — from the agricultural heartland of Punjab to the valleys of KPK and the plains of Sindh.

Our Journey

Our founding team has spent more than two decades in high-tech — building software, managing enterprise systems, and leading digital transformation projects across industries. We know what it takes to build products that scale, and we know the difference between technology that looks good on a slide deck and technology that actually changes lives.

When we turned that lens toward Pakistan's agriculture and land sectors, what we found was a massive gap between what is possible and what exists today. That gap is where Root lives. We are not outsiders parachuting in with a theory — we are Pakistanis who grew up watching these problems affect our families, our communities, and our country. That personal connection drives everything we do.
